I know this picture gives me away BUT I love pokemon....and so do the Hunger Games Evidently

This People think I'm guilty of. Sadly, I read the books because of the fact that I work at a bookstore People don't shut up. :)

I'm not going to endorce just one software so I'm going to give links for a few of the most popular software out there!

KOBO For Windows Users CLICK ME FOR KOBO FOR DESKTOPS

KINDLE For Windows Users CLICK ME FOR KINDLE FOR DESKTOPS

iBOOKS For the next one you need an iTunes account and perhaps an Apple product (ie. iPhone, iPad, iPod, iTouch) the link will take you where you can purchase it (FOR FREE) at the apple app store
CLICK FOR iBOOKS!

This saves paper! SAVE TREES AND WHATEVER!

Also A little update as to what I've been reading! I've been reasing the second book for the Hunger Games Series, Catching Fire. It's a good series so far but each chapter is like a cliff hanger. Suzanne Collins writes every chapter like it's her last. She's funny like that. I do suggest reading the series though....

Tumbling It Up

Does anyone else love Tumblr as much as I do? No? How could you not. As I write this, I'm exploring Tumblr and I just want to share with you all my favourite Library/Book Themed Tumblr Pages. Even if you're not a librarian, certainly you can enjoy a good book or 40. Enjoy Hanna's Tumbling Tumblr List (in no particular Order)

1) Book Porn ! Now I know what you're thinking: STOP. This is just either attractive people reading books or beautiful pictures of books! And Since I JUST finished the Hunger Games here's one of the pictures from the blog
2)Library Porn I warn you some of these pictures are NSFW (Not Safe For Work). These pictures remind me of the good ol' Days of card catalogues.
3)Librarian: Hey Girl This is just Ryan Gosling flirting with you via pictures. Thanks for always understanding you sexy man!
4) Better Book Titles Ever wanted to rename a book? Me too. This tumblr is all about renaming books to a more "appropriate" title. I linked to the archive.

5) Books and Hot Chocolate I just like what this poster and what they find. Takes all the work out of searching for witty and funny book related Posts
6) Bookfessions A series of confessions by book readers compiled into one cute blog.

I'd gladly go on to discover more but I feel this would take longer than the time I have. Homework piles up. Even this blog is homework and I have to present all my hard work tomorrow. It is a fun way to pass time, Blogging. Perhaps I will continue this blog following my presentation. Who knows maybe I'll get some actually readers by then!

Thanks for reading!

Librarian Comics and Library Wars

I honestly Believe this is how we are viewed
This comic creditied to Dave Coverly

We all have that ONE book you want to keep track of and make sure no one moves it one it's shelved. Oh, Just me?

Oh, Charlie Brown.

I feel the need to post this as It's actually a genius Idea

Taken from the animenewsnetwork's website  In a slightly different timeline than ours, the explosion of information and misinformation came to be considered a direct threat to society. In a daring decision, it was decided to create a new government agency dedicated solely to information management. Some thirty years later, in 2019, the government still monitors and controls information, suppressing anything they find undesirable, but standing against their abuses of power are the libraries, with their special agents called ‘the book soldiers.

Hope this picked you up a bit because it surely did me!

Warning: There are unmarked spoilers within. You have been warned.

VS

Howl's Moving Castle Directed by Hayao Miyazaki

BREIF SUMMARY
A story of a young woman, by the name of Sophie, being cursed with looking 90 years old. She becomes a cleaning lady of the local wizard (and hot shot) Howl. Both were good stories in their own right. Both a beautifully done.

DIANE WYNNE JONES' VERSION
-has far more detail about the main characters Sophie and Howl.
-Michael (Markel in the Animated version) is actually in his teens
-The book talks of Sophie's sisters
-Sophie and Howl's Relationship is further explained

HAYAO MIYAZAKI VERSION
-Beautiful Artwork (esspecially the castle itself)
-Profoundly deep characters
- the story is different from the book but it's its own unique piece of art.
-Both the English and Japanese Versions are good. This is a difficult thing to do for Japanese to English Audio as it has to be dubbed over.
-Howl is less of a play boy to make him more appealing to the female audience (My assumption anyway)
